But I didn't expect him to be amazing communicator, above and beyond. Calling me only when needed, but letting me know what to expect (the loan process is kind of a joke), how he's going to help us work together to minimize the impact on me (so many ridiculous hoops to jump thru), and the timing of the whole thing (he was honest). I also realized all the things he did behind the scenes that made it SO EASY to work with him.

Oh and did I say he's also a really nice guy?

Hands down he's the best in the business. Savvy , sensible and easy to talk to. He did give me lots of personal advise that helped me to boost confidence and approach.

My wife and I had been looking for a home for several months. During this search I was shopping around for a home loan... completely oblivious to the fact that credit checks over time hurt your credit. The housing market right now has been rather aggressive in the south bay for a bit now and my wife and I had been out bid several times (as anybody looking has been). Our realtor suggested we submit offers with more aggressive time tables... well.. this nearly bit us. We ended up having an offer accepted on a house we adored, only to find that Citybank couldn't honor its pre-approval with only a handful of days before close of contingencies due to my credit score dropping just a couple points below their cut-off (due to my shopping around for a loan). Enter Miles... with only a few days to go and during the holidays (I called him Dec 23) he worked with his underwriter to get us a nice fixed rate and through title in a very timely manner. Miles Palacios was our Mortgage Consultant for our first time home purchase. We were referred to Miles from a couple of wonderful Real Estate Agents we literally bumped into (but that's another review). From the beginning, he was up front, positive and clearly explained what would be required to get us where we needed to be in financing our new home. His guidance throughout the process was thorough and clear and in the end we were able to close very quickly and get into our new home before Christmas.
